There is a map at the bottom of this page.  We are located in Grade 2 listed parkland, therefore there is no dedicated disabled parking at Stanmer House.  Customers may drop off those with mobility problems at our front door. The house has step-free access toilets and a lift.

We have a free customer car park adjacent to the house, additional free designated public parking is located near the Church and throughout the park.

OPENING HOURS

During Summer we are open to the public from 10am from Wednesday to Sunday.

From 1st October – 29th November the house is CLOSED to the public from Monday-Friday.

From 30th November to 1st January we are open every day from 10am.

We are open for Private Hire 7 days a week.

We are unable to respond to general enquiries and bookings via email.  Please book online – if you have a voucher, please bring it with you on the day to be redeemed.

78 Old Steine – Brighton Station – Open Market – Stanmer Park

Alternative routes* include:

25 Palmeira Square – Lewes Road – Universities 

23 Brighton Marina – County Hospital – Queens Park – Lewes Road – Universities

* Please note that these services stop just outside the park & will require a short ten minute walk to the Country House.

The closest train station is Falmer.

DOG FRIENDLY

Well behaved dogs are allowed in the Lobby and Library restaurant areas, and in the garden (please keep your dog on a lead in the garden)

We request that muddy boots are removed and your dogs are clean and dry when inside the house.

Dogs are not permitted in the formal dining rooms. There may be occasions when dogs are not permitted inside the house (for example, when there already lots of dogs present)

MENUS

All of our menus are on the Restaurant Page of this website. They are updated regularly. A 12.5% service charge applies and we can cater for all dietary requirements and allergies.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

We have a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options, we can cater for gluten and other allergens including our gluten free afternoon teas.

Please note that our Afternoon tea is served ‘for two’ and we cannot combine different types of afternoon tea for two.

COMPLAINTS

If your experience is not as you had expected, we very much like to deal with problems at the time they arise, as little can be done to resolve problems after they have occurred. So, please don’t think you’re making a fuss, we like to get things right and will change what we can during your visit.

We are open 7 days a week for private hires – including Weddings, Funeral Receptions, parties, business meetings and corporate events. Please complete the online enquiry form and we’ll be in touch.

DISCOUNTS AND VOUCHERS

If you have some form of discount, voucher or loyalty scheme (eg. TasteCard) simply book as normal and inform the person serving you so that the relevant discount can be applied. Be sure to check the Terms and Conditions of your discount and book a day/time when your offer is valid.
